The VDL Futura 3 has been developed with future requirements in mind and is prepared for further technological developments, including alternative powertrains and future vehicle updates.

More than 20% fuel efficiency improvement

One of the key achievements of the new VDL Futura 3 is its outstanding fuel efficiency. Through a combination of advanced vehicle technology, aerodynamic optimisation, intelligent weight reduction and a highly efficient drivetrain, the coach has demonstrated fuel efficiency improvements of more than 20%.

This significant reduction in fuel consumption lowers operating costs, reduces CO₂ emissions and supports operators in meeting increasingly demanding sustainability targets.

Enhanced comfort and safety

For drivers, the VDL Futura 3 offers an ergonomically optimised cockpit, improved seating position and intuitive controls that reduce fatigue during long journeys. Passengers benefit from enhanced seating comfort, premium interior finishes, advanced ambient lighting and a refined climate control system, creating a pleasant and relaxing travel environment.

Safety has also been elevated to a new level, with the latest generation of ADAS assistance systems, improved visibility and structural enhancements that help meet the most stringent European safety standards.

Lower total cost of ownership

The VDL Futura 3 has been engineered to reduce repair and maintenance costs throughout its lifetime. Smart engineering solutions, modular components and improved accessibility of technical systems contribute to a significantly lower Total Cost of Ownership, making the vehicle an attractive investment for coach operators.
