In and around Amsterdam 100 VDL Citeas SLFA Electric are in service, divided between Schipholnet buses and R-net buses. This is the largest electric bus fleet in Europe.
With the deployment of 43 Citeas SLFA-181 Electric on 8 high-frequency city lines, Eindhoven has one of the world's most advanced bus operations.
In Oslo, 40 Citeas Electric are contributing to the transition to zero emissions.
The German city of Kiel has the first articulated, 3-axle Citea with a length of 18.75 metres. A total of 36 VDL Citea SLFA-187 Electrics will run on 7 bus lines.
Cologne has chosen to utilize the electric Citea for one of their busiest lines. 8 SLFA-181 buses are used to provide clean, quiet passenger service on line 133.
In Venlo, even the regional lines are now benefiting from zero-emission service: 12 Citeas LLE-99 Electric are deployed on 3 different lines.
The German city of Münster is one of the first cities to electrify a complete bus line. Service on line 14 is provided with five VDL Citeas SLF-120 Electric.
Following completion of a pilot with several electric Citeas, line 3 is now operating with fully electric service, provided with four Citeas SLF-120 Electric.
